its a little disturbing to worry too much about shadow placement perfection... i like the idea of freedom of distorting and using this distortion as a quality in the piece. no art is perfect, neither is has to be. BUT YES this pic looks great as fuck. so realistic precision isnt that bad every now and then, i guess. its just... spoileridk, it scares me, the idea of having the obligation to do something in a specific manner or else it will look "wrong". i dont think there is such a thing in good art. sorry for making such "out of place" comments, i just suffered so much over the years worrying of how to paint, panicking in every single brush stroke feeling like its totally "wrong". its a really, really shitty feeling, i assure you. and im trying to get rid of that... i dont want to feel like that. painting anything cant be wrong. even if it looks bad and sucks. lol.

probably both... yes, both. but too much perfeccionism, trepassing everything! thats my guess... excess of idealism can be really harmful to living. if not making it impossible to.
