@moonian, sorry, but you messed up. This picture is the parent, it's the first one. The second one is #445213 and the third one is #445214.

BTW, if #445212 is the first one, #445213 is the second one, and #445214 is the third one, how should I set the parent(s) and child(ren)?
Should it be:
#445212 (is parent to #445213);
#445213 (is child of #445212 and is parent to #445214);
#445214 (is child of #445213)?

Or should it be:
#445212 (is parent to #445213 and #445214);
#445213 (is child of #445212);
#445214 (is child of #445212)?
The order on Pixiv doesn't matter especially when there is no particular reason why it should be that way. We normally follow the convention that least explicit version is the parent (among some other rules, but they're irrelevant). But in this case, they're basically equally explicit, so feel free to follow whatever you want.

Avoid grandparenting unless it's absolutely necessary.

Last, please avoid uploading minor variants as well, especially for these form Pixiv, where anyone can just go there if they want more.

Got it. But in this case I think the order on Pixiv makes more sense in terms of continuity, and if you said they all look equally explicit, so I will set this one as the parent.

Hmm, I thought so. But do you have any tips for me to know when grandparenting is necessary?

Hmm, OK, I did that because I see it all the time on Yande.re, so I thought it was normal. Besides, I thought that people might not know that there are other variants. I, for instance, usually don't check the Pixiv link all the time to see if there are other variants, I usually only get what I see here. :)

Such as:

A is a better version of B, so A is the parent of B;
C is a photoshopped/fixed version of B, so B should be its parent.

Wouldn't the Photoshopped/fixed version of B also be a better version of it? Nevertheless, I think I got what you meant, if C was originated from B, then B is its parent. Thanks.

BTW, that's where my initial confusion originated from: my train of thought was that #445212 (1st) was the parent, #445213 (2nd) originated from #445212, and #445214 (3rd) originated from #445213, so I thought that #445213 was the parent of #445214.

EDIT: I was reading the "howto" guides and I found this guideline for fixed images in the "parent/child" guidelines (https://yande.re/wiki/show?title=howto%3Aparent%2Fchild ):
"Fixme - posts that have been fixed should be the parent, and the 'fixme' tag removed from the child."
How is post #445214 originated from post #445213 over post #445212.. they're just one image with variations

Not exactly, in #445214 her asshole closes after it was spread in #445213; and in #445213 it has no cum anymore. :P That's my perspective in terms of continuity, and I think that was the intention of the artist. But never mind, I was just explaining why I was in doubt in the beginning of how to set the parent(s) and children. :)
