Query from a rookie:

Yesterday, I decided to give uploading a try so I posted several images from the same artist that drew my current avatar.

I went to their pixiv profile, opened up several of their works, etc., etc and posted direct links to each image ("i.piximg.net...") as the source of each of my posts. However, every time I tried to open said links from yande.re I received a "403 Forbidden" error from Pixiv, so today I went and fixed them all by changing them to the other Pixiv link format.

A few minutes later, I came to this post to tag it and clicked on the source link provided by Mr_GT, which has the same format as my non-working links. To my surprise, it worked just fine.

My question is: What did I do wrong? What's the difference between GT's links and mine?

For reference, here's my recent edits history with the last batch of links I moved around; it has both the bad and the current ones.

Use the original file URL please. When you click from the source field on post/show/ page (NOT from the history), it will redirect you to the medium page.

And the 403 is because Pixiv doesn't allow hot link.
