Not necessarily true. Many artists also use Patreon as a tip jar of sorts. It's also debatable if these posts make him lose out on supporters.

With other forms of piracy it's been shown to be the contrary. People learn about the artist here and then, if they really like their work, might give them money. Likewise, if you stop posting these, people who consumed the work won't necessarily start supporting the artist on Patreon.

*If* it was their own original artwork, I would be more concerned with these uploads. But seeing as most are taking other peoples copyright and getting paid for nudeshops, it's bit hard to defend these artists.

I would caution to not upload all their work from Patreon, which mash seems to have done? (Not that I'm going to check)

Such discussion is pointless on a literal "pirate" website IMO. Where do you draw the line? What about scans?

I want to raise the point that, putting content behind paywall is a pretty clear indication of artist's intention of exclusivity - the artist can easily make it publicly visible if he/she so wishes. Whether you feel comfortable or justified bypassing it is up to you.

Actually if we go this direction one should not be uploading ANYTHING without the original author's concent - not even works, that are available via twitter or pixiv. I mean .. that's the only way to start not being what this side is and what everyone likes about it.

The authors of such works are free to not share images or anything - especially knowing there is this board (or any other - there are a lot of boards on the internet). Besides: even if yandere was to disallow this - people would just wander off to a site that allows it, because it's as much piracy as uploading an image without a proper license is, which - most likely - this site does not have in 99,999% of the images.

So why is uploading patreon rewards a no-no while uploading scans of an artbook is not (and I am not even talking about images published on twitter etc., which - while published in public - are still not necessarily allowed on another public site).
