Is this PNG just a Save-as of the original JPG??

My computer showed it as a PNG from the original source at that time. But now it seems like the source has changed it as a JPG.

It doesn't make any sense, how can you revise a tweet?

But these two images do have some pixel-level differences, I will keep it for now giving benefit of the doubt
