I definitely lke To-Love Ru, but the whole Ren/Run thing is one of the more bizarre and disturbing aspects of it.

Ren/Run is an alien. The type of alien that Ren/Run is changes gender when they sneeze. Ren is the male version. Run is the female version.

So, Run _is_ female, but becomes male when sneezing, so she isn't a male dressed as a female, but... I mean, if you take trap to mean a male dressed as a female, then no, Run is not a trap, but given that she can become a male at the drop of the hat, she does come across as a trap.

It's just weird.

I like the manga (and the anime is okay, but definitely not as good), but the whole Ren/Run thing was something that I never liked.

agree, i love her but i don't like when she turns into a man, it's disgusting.
as a female she is nice and i love her but don't like that thing either, it's a shame , poor run.

Could be pretty awkward if Run/Ren sneezed during sex...

I think they are both adorable! Ren and Run are twin brother and sister and they take turns to "come out", Run doesn't actually turn into a boy when she sneezes, she just swaps places with her brother Ren. The dynamic between Ren and Run seems to be deliberately kept a little bit vague but I get the impression that while they are two separate people they also share their experiences to some degree; in the manga version Ren and Run are sometimes seen arguing with each other in their mind/minds.

As Combat Butler said, Ren and Run are different persons. Ren hates Rito, and loves Lala, while Run is exactly the opposite. So their plan was to work together to separate Rito and Lala.
I love both! They are adorable. It's such a pity they don't appear much on the manga.

And yes Azarel that would be weird haha.
