Does this really fall under the guro tag? She's a machine, and she looks more bored than upset.

What race she is and how she feels about that are unrelated to the fact that her body's got broken into pieces in an unnatural way.
She just got unplugged, no visible damage done, it definitely doesn't have a "gory" feel to it.
Pretty sure this doesn't fall under guro...
I don't find images like this that show no clear biological aspects (blood or body tissue, etc) grotesque in any way or shape.
guro doesn't necessarily represent just gore. Being in pieces like this is pretty much mutilation.
You cannot "mutilate" an object. It (she's) broken.

Broken by mutilation.

And I won't call her an "object" here - If you want to treat her an object, don't make a humanoid body for her.
As someone who blacklists the guro tag, to me this image invokes none of the feelings of a guro depiction. It's called "grotesque" for a reason.

Maybe, MAYBE if it looked like the result of some violent act, or it looked unrepairable instead of what is most likely some kind of maintenance, it could be a little bit upsetting or grotesque.
In this case, however? No way, man, just no. She's fine, her expression says no violence was comitted, or nothing out of ordinary, and the body looks like it was meant to be able to be dismantled and plugged back in.
if a robot split in half is guro... well, i never realised how violent i was being to legos.

Robots have feelings you know?
Maybe they do, maybe they don't, but in this case, the robot certainly doesn't mind what's happening.

my lego men had feelings! they had lives and families and cars too! though sometimes space ships. theres always one guy not content with a daily driver ¬_¬
We're going a little off subject now.

I agree with moonians decision to remove guro. It's not grotesque enough.

It's fireattack that removed it (and it's me that added it before that).

But I won't add it back again if it's mosly thought that it shouldn't be added to this particular image.
Don't play it off as if it was somehow said for no reason.
What is not guro should not be tagged as guro. Simple as that. You should also brush your definition dictionary up a bit if you still think this is guro.

If you need a simple image in your head popping out when you think of text-book guro, let it be some cat's head being stepped on by a high heel, its eyeballs exploding, its brains flowing out like a pulp, and its mouth being stuck in a frozen expression of incredible pain. That is guro.
A robot being maintenanced is NOT.
You misunderstand the concept behind guro. It's not just gore.

I don't think she's being maintenanced in this image - who will cut oneself in half to have a "maintenance" while reading books?

None of the cords appear to be severed though, just unplugged.
there don't seem any cuts, the connectors are all unplugged and the front fell off.

No, it isn't. Yet it is a perfectly fine example for guro, while something that doesn't have any shock value or anything gruesome to it certainly doesn't fit the term.

Also @moonian please, can't you see what you're looking at? I've mentioned countless times that there isn't any harm done to her, there's no damage, she's being unplugged for what seems to be a regular thing, judging by her expression.

You guys should lower your heads and admit when you are wrong for a change.

How about you just lose the attitude? This was a civil discussion.

No further comments from me on this subject.
The condescending one is pretty much you.
I see my suggestion also fell on deaf ears once again, as you conveniently ignore all arguments to save face.
Radioactive has a history of condescending comments. I don't understand why he/she/it hasn't been banned. This person has single-handedly created a toxic environment on this site.

You mean he created an actual standard for images-
Doubtful he created anything. Even if he did, we can all do without his self-important attitude.
Eh. He's not that bad.
Actually, he is that bad. The site can do without his single-handedly trying to police what everyone writes and the sardonic attitude. He needs a real life.
