Understood, but that's not what my original question meant. I meant to asked was why is this image being held when it's parent is already being shown.

That has nothing to do with whether a post is another already-shown post's child or not - the newly uploaded one doesn't counts towards the number of uploads of the day when the parent was uploaded anyways.

I'm sorry but can you run that by me again as I didn't get it the first. Are you saying that child post don't counts toward any limit, or that using hold on an image shouldn't have any bearing on whenever it's a child post or not?

An upload of a post counts towards the unheld limit of its own date of uploading, whether that post is a child of another existing unheld post or not.
