over 5 years agoP.S. Just banned them for a while due to failure to listen to reminder/warnings.

over 5 years agoYes, he should better use the hold command, which let's be honest, is not the most understandable or accessible feature here. He may also have no idea how to read comment or using DM.
I'm not saying he's not at fault. But your way to deal with it is way too harsh and it drives people away, if you care about new blood.

over 5 years agoYou should have contacted moonian on PMs, and not have your rant on an public forum. I agree a ban was a bit harsh, but not enough to assume the worse of moonian. You should assume he did it in good faith too.
I know from experience that it's a tough job as a mod, and public criticism makes their life harder.

over 5 years agoAlso keep in mind there is no hard rule (other than image quality) about how much you can upload in a shorter time. That's a suggestion aimed for regular uploaders. The world won't be over if some random user uploads a single lengthy artbook.

Edit - P.S. I did DM'd them (more than once) before handing out the first -ve record. They paused for a little while after I sent one every time (to read those DMs I assume), but resumed uploading afterwards (without any replies to them at all).
