I believe this was a yuri+mecha+miko kinda anime/manga. the bot is part of the story. O and i think some guy is the pilot.

Not Gundam.

Kannazuki is a lame yuri/mecha/ anime. I guess if you like lame mecha battle and soft yuri then it's your anime but overall, it's not really worth watching.
