What's that thing in her belly? don't tell me it's her soulgem, that would be the dumbest place to put it, it's literally your soul and you put it on display on a wide-open unprotected area?

It is. And this place for it is canon.

But note that witches are not specially targeting Soul Gems, so it’s not a problem for them to be exposed: some other puella magi have theirs on the arm. Even Homura have hers on her hand.

Yeah well, that's one of the things that doesn't make much sense.
Even if witches doesn't seem to be aware of this weak point, some have attacks so big and wide that can easily hit the whole body.
I know they can't lock them away in some safe place has it has to be within 100 meters or so from their body, but they could have think of something else other than putting them on display so openly.

All girls had it in different place.
I think it fits Sayaka's "all frontal", then later "berserk" style quite well, just be straight forward with the Gem's location. They weren't shown to be exactly weak, either.

As much as it pains me saying it, hers would probably be "cockblocked crusader".

Honestly though, that "C" stands for the musical note, C. Remember her image also goes about music.
