When the old Kai Tak Airport still existed, that's what you would observe every day.

Go ahead and search for that airport's name in Google Images and you will know.

The most baffling parts were the plane-spotters thing and the fact that the height of an entire district had to be lawfully limited in order to accommodate for the planes.

Color me impressed.

I'm glad it got sorted out. Allowing those landing conditions for so long was itself the terrorist act, urban expansion or not. D:
