This character is not from Fate/Stay Night (the original story, I mean). I'm trying to remove the tag, but it's not coming out; how come? is it tied to the "fate/extra" or "fate/grand order" tag? If it is, it shouldn't be; they are different stories with different characters. This character doesn't exist in Fate/Stay Night.

I think in here "Fate/Stay Night" is the franchise (i.e. Fate franchise) and all fate stuff is part of the franchise whether canon or spin-off, plus it takes place in the same universe with similar characters. There is no tag for the franchise I guess.

Also, I had heard it was part of the story, just in a totally diff time/era that's not important to the main plotline. Can't be sure though.

The tag "fate/stay night" is not used for the franchise, it refers to the canon story (the visual novel's story). The characters that were created later for the spin-offs are usually tagged with the "fate/grand order" tag, because, as far as I know, F/GO has all the characters of the franchise. Tamamo no Mae is from Fate/Extra; I'm not familiar with this game, but Wikipedia says its story takes place in a parallel universe to the story in the visual novel Fate/Stay Night, but she doesn't exist in the original story, hence the tag "fate/stay night" shouldn't be used here.

It's tied to the "fate/extra" tag, meaning that whenever we tag a post with "fate/extra", the tag "fate/stay night" will automatically be applied as well, but it's a mistake, as most characters in Fate/Extra doesn't exist in Fate/Stay Night. A mod should fix this.

I don't think it's necessary. For that purpose we usually use "fate/grand order" for all the characters of the spin-offs, and "fate/stay night" for the characters from the canon story.
