Looks likes they've gone further by removing their accounts at Pixiv and twitter altogether :-/

well, someone posted a made up story at Baidu Tieba (basically a forum) https://tieba.baidu.com/p/6976725740?see_lz=1 , which is mainly about a simp causing his parents to sell their house in order to raising funds for his marriage. He used this picture as the avatar of his sister in the fake screenshots of the chat. the story he made up, especially the screenshot, quickly became a meme and spreading over the Chinese Internet. Then, too many idots began to spam the meme pics in the artist's twitter posts, forcing the artist to close the Pixiv and Twitter account.
