I set the whitepoint based on the blank white area in post #67044, which made colors a lot more natural looking; raised the blackpoint a bit to fix the washed out blacks, and raised the gamma to brighten it back up.

Is it correct? I don't know. All I can tell is that the original scans were dull and washed out and that it looks a lot better now. Only the scanner (that is, someone with the original) can properly adjust colors; if he doesn't, he's leaving everyone else to try to do it blind.
I've tried explaining the need for color adjustment to him--more than once, I think, and I stopped trying. I'm only hoping the example can at least help educate others.

That has more problems than just colors. One is really... over filtered, too smooth to the point where its lost some detail.
These look overfiltered, too, but it's hard to tell without anything to compare against. Just fixing what I can...
