is there a easy way to find a artist name for yande.re? using Danbooru works 90% of the time but this artist has uploaded to much stuff for me to believe it hasn't been uploaded on yande.re before.

Maybe that's because the works from those artists have few to none here in yande.re (hence no artist tags for them)?

The only thing I can think of is uploading a few more good ones and see if I can find a duplicate with a name.

wish yande.re had a batchuploader like Danbooru. when you upload a Source if the artist already exist in the database it will recognize the pixix or twitter url and automatedly give you the artist name.

I have created artist names before only for users to go find the yande.re named version.

I guess I could always created artist name and add tagme

Sometimes, SauceNAO can help to find the artist’s name if the same picture exists on other boorus and the artist’s name has been tagged there.

Indeed, Danbooru has a very complex backend artist fetching system, I don't see we have similar capacity any soon.

You can use "find artist" feature here too, but it only uses a simple URL match. So the URL has to be already in our artist DB, *and* the source URL you provided need to be in a format that can be easily matched (E.g. Twitter tweet link should work. Old Pixiv directly image format used to work because it contains the user_id, but not anymore.)

I will just use danbooru's https://danbooru.donmai.us/uploads/new for the time being. :/
