Why was the Flag-for-deletion was removed?
This is pixiv version, and parent is fanbox version? So we should delete this

This should NOT be deleted according to the current rules - unless the fanbox version is NOT a paid reward (i.e. free to view, not behind a paywall).

Understand.

Where to see such rules?
And what about DLsite and DMM non-free voice works images?
I would like to know the rules too. I'm always confused by no consistency, as some of the free picture posts have actually been deleted by FANBOX's pictures.
These kind of rule should be sticky at the forum section like the Minimum Resolution changed to 1.6MP.
Not to be like some secret agreement made by a few mods that unknown by others mods like fireattack & blooregardo, and the majority users.
My opinion is we replace any digital duplicates (reads: delete the worse ones) with only dimension or compression level difference. Doesn't matter where they are from. Eearliest uploads stay if duplicates are identical.

This way, it's not complicated and easy to follow.

If it's has revision, then it's case by case.

(The only exception I can think of is to not replace very old post (just leave them as child.)

Thanks for the answer. I agree with your opinion.
It would be easier for many other users to understand if only the better pictures remain.
Not quite difficult to understand that paid rewards doesn't replace old posts.

So realistically speaking would there be any point in uploading almost anything from Pixiv if one knows the paid reward copy of that image will be posted in the near future? I mean not every artists has a Fanbox/Patreon so it's not like everything is off-limit, but that does mean you mostly likely better off subbing to their paywall and get the big copy than post their resized digital pic posted on site Pivix.

Edit: Assuming by digital duplicate you meant something like a Pixiv png beat Twitter jpg or Seiga's 2400x1700 vs Pivix's 1600x1200. Basically from one digital website source to another. One could argue that paid reward fall in the category as well since they come from a digital source as well with only difference between them is one is behind a paywall.

Edit2: It's weird how my current statement make it sounds like I'm advocating this process, when I prefer you don't delete Pixiv pic in favor of paid reward due to causing a ""paid to win"" mentality.
So... do we reach a consensus now?
Not at all.
And users who can't affort the money have just bad luck.
Anyone can get paid rewards from exhentai and kemono or other site if they can't/didn't support the artist.
I found it ironic that who uploads from those site a lot said it's bad luck for those users who can't afford.
First: There are a few paid rewards you can get. Not all of them.
Second: The one who paid have them mostly first.
Thirdly: I know the sites but I doubt that alle users do.
Fourth: It's not *ironic* I'm just thinking about other users too.

But I do know that selfishness is a thing here.
If I'm selfish then I won't even flag my own uploads to replace by other users upload.

FYI I'm not against keeping both pixiv/twitter version alongside with paid rewards.
Just make the rules clear for delete or not then I'll follow them.
I prefer to prioritize ease of use for most of the people looking at pictures. If there are the same pictures, I think it would be better if only the pictures with good quality are kept.

If a paid-for picture is posted and it is better than the one I posted, I will gladly look at that picture and agree to delete the one I posted.

Of course, I understand the idea that it is better to keep both, even if the quality of the picture is superior or inferior.
But then, when it comes to the common Pixiv picture and Twitter picture, it becomes difficult to understand why one should be deleted.
Since consensus isn't reached, I guess we keep both for now (if one source is paid reward *and* it's posted later.)

I understand.
PS.
Ah, but this rule may not specify the source of the paid ward. It seems that some people have already done so.
If it's all the same to you, I'm adding symmetrical_docking to the post.

What about non-free DLsite and DMM voice works image? Does those count as paid reward?
I'd say yes. Also if the original uploader still wants the duplicates to be removed by all means flag it.
