over 2 years agoAs for filters, smart blur, included in the recent versions of Photoshop, does a lot of the heavy lifting towards getting solid blocks of color looking like solid blocks of color, and it can do this while keeping the outlines crisp! It's almost like magic, MUCH better than the old method of gaussian blur then unsharp mask! It works best if you do it in blocks, since darker areas require stronger settings that ruin lighter areas. Follow things up with some light AI-based denoising, and you get some pretty nice results!
