about 15 years ago2. Even if I could, resizing things in Paint will make it look all pixelated and hideous.

about 15 years agoOn the other hand, Irfanview hasn't some function which Xnview have, e.g. thumbnail catch, leveling, jpeg subsampling compression, e.t.c. but low memory required and very fast start up.

about 15 years agosee Irfanview as a super "Fax and Image Viewer", that actually has options to edit images. it's only to view and, if you want, edit.
and see Xnview like a customizable Picasa. you browse, view and edit with it.
...well that's how i see it.

about 15 years agoFast stone image viewer has better UI than Xnview, but too slow to use.

about 15 years agoIrfanview's UI is just useless. It took me two minutes to find the directory browser. Once I did and gave it a directory with images, the whole UI froze up while it thumbnailed them all. I can't paste directory names into the program, which makes navigation a pain. The browsing view and image viewer are separate windows. There's no quick preview. I control-mousewheel in fullscreen and the zooming jumps in and out randomly. I drag in fullscreen after zooming in and instead of moving the image, it jumps to a different image. I press escape at the wrong time and the whole program quits. (Aren't you glad you clicked that?)
