I find people commenting on older images useful. I can't tell you how many images I've discovered that way that I liked, that I had missed for whatever reason in the past. I've discovered new artists that way as well, so it's quite a useful feature. Not to mention, why comment at all if you don't want to bump the image? ( ̄~ ̄;) I really can't fathom a reason to say something you'd want buried and never seen. Images aren't like discussion threads, an image can be years old and still relevant to the viewer. (Actually, centuries old even, check out museums.) ヾ(´・ω・`) The only real issue with necroing is someone replying to a question that's years old, but that doesn't cause major problems.
