Thank you both for your helpful comments! I actually never thought about a mermaid with a dress... and I don't think I've seen any so I might go with this idea... Also, thinking about a weapon is a good start since I can base the design on the style of the weapon... For the ice prince, a coat was the base idea... and a weapon would have been included anyways so, the only problem are undergarments, since I tend to draw open coats because they look more fantasy like... Google is your best friend. Fairy... Maybe detached wings... Or maybe she lost her wings... That could serve as a plot line too... Asuna from SAO is a good inspiration...
