I think that speed is perfectly fine, the old server would only give 20kb/s overseas :P
Ping is good since it doesn't go over the Comcast iBone backbone. Speed seems identical to Elis (67.159.60.65) on a good day.

I just wish you didn't have Ranka set for some of sample images. Elis and 76.73.1.91 are instant in loading samples, with Ranka there is a large delay. The latency difference (RTT) for people in North America is pretty significant. Implementing some sort of GeoIP system would be one solution. Having user configurable server preferences would be another. If this would mess up your load balancing is a whole nother matter.

Is Elis (67.159.60.65) going to be gone for good very soon? It doesn't seem to be set to load any images at the moment.

dont have speeds from old server though... i dont use ffox to download from here anylonger...
Cyberbeing: Yes elis is going away, we'll be adding in a server preference switch whenever peto has time, we have plenty of memory/cpu to spare for once so we can probably cache two copies.....
Getting around 3mb/s while fetching images from the new server, was around 950kb/s - 1mb/s on the old one.
Looks like Sheryl isn't very happy at the moment.
whats rankas rsync intervall ?

once a week ?

edit
looks like i need to prog an incremental downloader afterall ... :|
Haven't been up to date on moe (being on page 600 and all...); site speed pretty good, just wondering if downloads are capped at 3?

EDIT: Yeah, cooliris!

I believe that is correct.

EDIT: Yeah, cooliris!
Gimmick.
Yeah, I guess it's a an interesting image browser at best. Thnx!
Okay Download speed have been decently recently but . Been trying to upload 10MB PNG files latly and it seems to take over an hour... well I gave up after an hour so I dunno, tried 3 times. yes this is on an 100Mbit connection so it smell very weird..
My own 200k/sec upload saturates, and sending from the Chicago system hits 4 megs/sec. I don't think it's the system itself.

Is it any better uploading to the FTP (you still have an account)?
a (pool batch downloading)^(-1) function would come in handy...

although uploading to moe is only fast via http sources ... upload was capped 2xx kb ish per connection for me

danboos just have shitty import functions...
as to import sth easy as ... lets say ... animepaper, minitokyo and pireze ...
It looks elis is down.

Elis seems fine over here from California, USA. I'm pulling 20Mbit from it right now.
Dead over here in the UK, too...
Does not work over here either.
Tried a tracert..and it dies halfway..i blame the shitty EU routing. Proxying through it is fine, you should stick to proxy until it's back to normal.
yeah I'm in China,Asia and i can't connect elis yet.
dont have any problems
Elis server is down in central Washington State.
Seems right now, but it was down like an entire day. I was worried.
for the time being, I just change the elis link to "ranka" to view whatever pictures from Elis. Also yea it is really the routing problem. I test it out from my laptop while using the school wireless. I can view all the elis pictures. Now for my desktop, it still cannot view any picture from Elis for some reason.
But I still hope this issue can be fix
elis is not happy now?

Just noticed that.
Have a look at http://mrtg.imouto.org/

Sheryl isn't happy either.

and what's wrong with ranka in the graph? :P
It needs to be updated (Along with AWstats)
Ranka rocks, I get super fast speed from it. Sheryl sucks horribly for me though (average comparison, 10mb image, ranka will take a matter of seconds, sheryl would be sat there downloading for anything up to 10 minutes at times heh). Ranka is geographically much closer to me though so no real surprise :)
same here, ranka rules

too bad theres no traffic graph of it...
