It doesn't matter, and I don't mean it as in 'I'm a male and i don't feel affected by it'.
You said it. Loli doesn't affect the mind and push people towards pedophilia. So why should seeing women objectified push one to think that they're nothing but sex objects?
Then shouldn't almost all male western main characters being white, muscular and brown/black hair affect women's perception of me? Because I'd be pretty darn ugly and I know I'm not, I've had people compliment me on my looks before.
I don't think women understand us when we tell them to 'make their own'. We don't want to push you out of the media field. Just make more positive examples in media that would appeal to a wider audience so it would be recognized that sexy isn't the only way to go. Because I know it isn't, as someone who grew up with a strong mother figure.
So far, all of feminist orientated media has only been just that.
Making the mistakes of having an all female cast and perpetuating stereotypes on themselves. Always a strong bulky short haired girl wielding some big weapon.
- No, this is hypocrisy. You're saying that women would be better in media if they had features more widely recognized as 'masculine'.
Including every race because 'you want everyone to be able to see themselves'...
- Don't. Makes everyone aside from the white girl look like a token character because it just looks like you tried sooo hard to be diverse.
And a bunch more. Everyone becomes a Mary Sue 'Strong tumblr funded female character!1!!'
And what is a strong female character?
LMAO whole other subject.
Ps. About body shaming and such. Do what you want with your body. BUT DON'T FUCKING HARASS ME WHEN I SAY YOU'RE NOT ATTRACTIVE TO ME
So what I like skinny girls? How does that affect your life? Debbie, why do women think like this? Or at least some of them? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or whatever, this is genuine.
