I typed something up that elaborated in detail on my own thoughts, but despite being logged in, it said I wasn't upon trying to post it, so I lost it. Every paragraph. All typed up on my phone. I wish I could type it up again, but that disheartened me, so I'll just post a non-elaborate version of my conclusion:
I sympathize with both sides. I think there are solutions out there to combat objectification without censoring or tossing out objecyifying content--mainly taking responsibility as creators of content and, as the situation demands it or you think it's relevant, educating your audience. A simple disclaimer would be an okay start. Not as an obligation, but as a proactive attitude in the industry. Comes with other issues, but that's why we discuss things. To come closer to solving these issues as they arise.
