I've been studying and practicing human body anatomy and gesture drawing for a while and I've become really good at drawing from direct observation (copying). For gesture drawing I usually use pictures of real people and sometimes manga characters and I've become really good at drawing human bodies from reference. The problem is when I draw from imagination. It's hard for me to draw certain poses and certain details. I think I've focused too much on copying and I need to start drawing more and more from imagination. The books in this forum and on VK are really great as reference and I'm really grateful for that.
