Just tried it out, found the artifacts gone, great. Also, even on a weak card such as nv 9300M GS, GPU mode is still a few times faster(6.63s vs 43.55s in my test scenario)
Also, GPU and CPU rendering produced identical results, except only a few pixels different by 1 level.
But for just once I had a strangely blurred preview window as cyberbeing had in the screenshot, it returned normal after panning the view a little, and I was not able to reproduce that error. It could be a giltch, but it may also be just my mistake...
