Let's wait a bit and discuss this first. I don't have a full opinion/solution yet, but I don't think either option is the way to go.
The "2 megapixels" thing I wrote is rough. Stuff like post #29019 is under 2 mpixels, but even though it is a bit small to me, I wouldn't consider it low res.
I don't think it'd be very productive to go vigilante on old stuff and do a mass delete, except the most egregious ones. If we were to make 2 mpixels a hard and fast rule, more people would start upscaling or do some form of pixel stuffing.
