Itsuka no ano hi (A Day in the Past)
日本の風景、というと不思議と自分の子供時代の記憶にある風景よリ少し昔の昭和の風景をイメージしてしまいます。
これは昭和という時代に、日本という国の文化が独自のものを生み出す力に満ちていたようなイメージを自分が持っているからではないかと思います。
今の時代も、美しい風景を人々の中に残せるような文化を生み出せる時代になればと願っています。
When I think of Japanese scenery, it is strange but I do not think of the landscapes of my youth, but rather of the postwar years.
I think that this is because I have an image of this period as being a time when Japan possessed the power to create a unique culture of its own.
I hope that the current age will also give rise to a culture that will create beautiful images in the minds of generations to come. |
