Try "download larger version" under options in the left side of your screen, then save the large image that loads up.

Usually that's what I do on a reset when I can remember to, but that's not often. That's the permanent fix.

Didn't notice until now there was a setting for that, huh? Until now I've done it manually to load the bigger image of a few dakimakura and others. The setting ticked gives the usual ~152kb file I'm used to seeing, unticking it "download larger version" does indeed give the 3.46MB (1605x5000) image.

But I think I leave it ticked, a lot easier with smaller images when just browsing, and there's not much point for the larger one until you take closer a look at/need the larger image...
