I know the stringed instruments, but that's definetly not one... A stringed shotgun with bayonet will not produce any acceptable sound. Even the bow is terribily wrong... xD Don't misunderstand me, the art is quite good, I just don't really like if they draw cool-looking things, that are otherwise absurd and absolutely unusable... Just like horribile anatomy failures. ^_^
The art itself is wonderful, i love the style... but yeah, the entire "gun instrument" part of the picture throws me off a bit. If you look closely, the strings on the instrument part of the gun arent really attached to anything. They just seem to be running from the trigger to the blade sustained by, nothing really. But its a great picture nonetheless.
