The art from this show is some of the best of the current stuff flooding moe :) The music's pretty good too - but is the show actually any good?

By Key standards, average at best. By current anime standards quite good. That is only my own opinion of course. I think the musical aspects haven't gotten enough attention personally. Maeda Jun gets a lot of attention for being the writer, but his contributions to the world as a composer are just as significant if not more so, and this show is filled with references to music and its power to convey emotion. Take Kanade's name for example, I really love the way Maeda references back to his musical influence in his writing in ways like that.

Compared to what KyoAni has done in the past (AIR, Kanon, Clannad)... inferior.
