Once again the 'fix' is a JPG.

What is the opinion on deleting JPEG fixes? I may just start doing so.
I've been doing so with fixes of the JPEG samples, I wouldn't delete JPEG if they haven't added artifacts.
What about if I tag JPEG fixes with a fault tag instead? We can decide on deleting another day.
I'd prefer not be so severe, maybe fixers could discourage to fix.

it still would be nice to somehow courage fixers to fix the pngs...
Most sites discourage to fix png ┐('~`;)┌
There are still many people who is thinking "lossless files shouldn't exist in the Internet"
We do need to bring it to their attention that they should be fixing the lossless file rather then the lossy...
Probably because PNG files are too heavy.
Not all people have a computer that can bear Photoshop + heavy PNG, for fixing.
This will slowly change, I believe. Or at least I hope.
I too am tired of seeing resized JPEG fixed, it looks like it's a waste of effort or something...
Maybe messages on top of the page like in Konachan? Or not, maybe not.

No, I find those messages more annoying then helpful. We should use the fault tag jpeg_fix
E-shuushuu messages are the best. But I really can't imagine how would them be applied here...
Perhaps a fault tag would call their attention.
Saying something in English couldn't help much. coz most fixers are Japanese or Chinese, who is limited reading English. also, they don't have alternative sites which encourage to use PNG in their language.

and sometimes png is too large to upload in their sites...

All our tagging is supposed to be in English anyway.

We have to bring JPEG fixes to the uploaders attention without dissuading them from further fixing. I'm only encouraging JPEG_fix deletions is if the fix was very poorly done, or the image was artifacted.

You still haven't given me a reason not to use the JPEG_fix fault tag.
fff.. If I get back to observe all uploads of moeren, then half of jpeg fixes might gone.
but I no more think working on moeren who kicked out me :p (they're trolls not regulars who kicked out me, but I couldn't keep on at there which allows trollings)
I'm not sure what you mean...
Almost jpeg fixes are came from moeren, not related to moe.imouto. unless someone willing to maintain that site, there is no way we can do. all efforts we're doing on this site is nothing to prevent jpeg fixes
(there is one way we can do.. to change the primal download links from jpeg into png, but it'll cause other demerits)
I'm in agreement we can't stop users uploading JPEG fixes, but we should at least fault tag them.
