Yup... Rozen Maiden episodes are very tiring... You know, those dolls screaming because of a flower-shaped egg, it's not that nice... It gets a bit boring. Elfen Lied and Hellsing, for an example, have only 13 episodes and much more story than Rozen Maiden's 24 episodes. I had fun with the last episode of Rozen Maiden, and the 2 final episodes from Rozen Maiden Traümend, not to mention the 2 OVAs from Rozen Maiden Ouvertüre. I believe that a 24 episode series should be much better than it was, and I wasn't expecting much of only 2 OVAs, which is equivalent to about 8% of the series total. I was really surprised to see how nice 2-episode Rozen Maiden Ouvertüre was next to 24-episode Rozen Maiden in general. And I recommend it to everybody, since I've noticed many people who've watched Rozen Maiden/Rozen Maiden Traümend doesn't watch Rozen Maiden Ouvertüre due to the apparent lack of sources.

Well I like the series as whole quite nicely and OVA's good so watch OVA's! "To each his own."

Ouvertüre is more story, development of Suigintou, feelings and such. I, as a man, enjoy dolls screaming because of a flower-shaped egg and ~desu.

Uuuh... Okay. I enjoy stories, characters development, feelings and such.

People really have different tastes. Hopefully the Rozen Maiden series can suit a lot of different people very well.

It's true. After watching Rozen Maiden, I realized it had a lot of... mm how is this called? Entire episodes focused in, say, cleaning the house.

But I loved it. I loved every single episode of both seasons, and the OVAs were great. Also loved HinaIchigo, Kanaria, desu~ doll, the flower-shapped egg and that sweet HinaIchigo liked to eat. I love everything related to Rozen Maiden.

All the dolls are very cute, mainly their personalities and pretty outfits/power.
But I think 2 or 3 episodes of flower-shaped eggs would be enough for me... Lol

It was so strange, some episodes were so dark-themed then all of a sudden the next one was full of laughter and screaming little dolls everywhere... Wtf lol

Rozen Maiden Traumend last episodes felt more like Dragon Ball. I really prefer the first season (not that I didn't like Traumend), it had an ambientation and soundtrack that has stuck on my head for quite some time. I still have to watch Overture. I love Rozen Maiden overall.

And Asterixvader, read the book. My friend said it's awesome. He read it quite quickly, although it's said to be a bit difficult and full of metaphors. Again, I did not read it yet, so I'm not quite sure of exact meaning of the book.

I've actually never read Alice in wonderland either... Or seen Disney movies of it.... So don't worry bout it asterixvader!
