Honestly, this is just bondage/related (probably a better term that I don't know for this kind though), if you call this extreme content you need to get around more.

Actually this is quite common, and I believe you misunderstand the point is to inflict pain, this does that. However if you insist on this being extreme content, please go through the bondage tag and add it to all the other images containing this device, since there are more than this one, and not many that I've seen have this tag, such as post #239252 and post #231160 and post #210796 and post #210797 were just a few I could find containing this item, with no such tag.

Edit: Now that I think about, all the posts under the bondage tag should be reviewed pending adding the extreme content tag because they arguably contain instruments of torture and the act itself.

The ones used only to inflict pain will more than likely have dulled edges to avoid actually mutilating the one sitting on it. This image clearly has a sharp metal edge. Either the artist of this image didn't think it through, or torture was his intention.

Either way, I agree that torture devices should qualify as extreme content.

Several of the ones I linked seem to have sharp edges as well. But whether they are actually sharp or not is simply beyond our ability to judge, since it is a drawing.

And I disagree, if you read the current definition of the extreme_content tag, I think it is being used perfectly at the moment, as in, only for the worst offenders, like post #228105 which most people would say is undesirable to see. While these however depict no obvious signs of excess bodily harm or excess mutilation or even blood for that matter and I think most people would shrug it off as nothing more than some rough bondage-ish play.

Well, thank you for clarifying that. Perhaps the info for the tag should be more specific about what qualifies as "Any depiction of mutilation" since that is somewhat of a broad definition as this image does in fact depict some slight mutilation, and it is easy to misunderstand how the tag is intended to be used. I'd recommend adding the word "excess" to the that part I previously quoted: "Any depiction of excess mutilation".
