時間も温度も、此岸か彼岸なのかさえも解らない曖昧な雰囲気が伝わると良いなあと思いながら描きました。移ろう四季の間、冬と春の狭間。
日本という土地ならではの瞬間を。


When I drew this, I hoped to create a vague atmosphere in which it would not be clear if I was depicting this world or the next. Of the four seasons, this picture represents the interstice between winter and spring.
It is a moment typical of Japan.
