I put this anime off because I couldn't take the first three episodes and how "original" it tried to be. :/ ... I'm not sure if I want to keep watching this or not. Is the story even good? Or the characters? The action is AMAZING so that's great but ... everything else is bleh.

It's been a while that I saw it. But personally I thought it was a trainwreck. It had interesting ideas and pretty cool visuals but the execution was just.. bleh as you said. The climax in the last few episodes was also underwhelming and just felt really random.

I've seen both series and they were fairly average but watchable.
