General: bodysuit

Any form-fitting suit that is noticeably different from a swimsuit or leotard. Includes suits associated with the piloting of machines or mecha. While very similar to a leotard, the main distinction comes from its normal usage, functioning somewhere between outerwear and underwear, as opposed to dance and exercise wear. Bodysuits will typically have thicker material than a leotard and will have one or more adornments or colors. Like leotards, bodysuits may have full sleeves, no sleeves, or any gradation in-between. Most bodysuits cover the legs at least partially, however legless suits paired with boots have become popular with scifi-esque characters.
