Upon first glance, the artist's grain filter might seem somewhat problematic. The lack of grain application to the foreground objects (particularly the ball-gag) can make this artwork’s composition feel incomplete. However, this isn’t the case; it’s simply a soft-focus technique.

Speaking of composition, there is really nothing to fault here. Gorgeous renditions of the twin EVA pilots. Anatomical correctness. Crisp lines and detailing. Colour. Shading. Lighting which seems to foreshadow Ayanami’s ascension to Godhood. This is a prime example of the artist’s work.

And the truth be told, this remains one of my personal favourites from this artist.
