What exactly is the issue then? Characters are aged up and de-aged all the time, why all the sudden, is doing it to Anya a problem? I've seen adult characters drawn as lolis and vice versa a few times now.

There's still no problem with just ageing them up though. Some people aren't comfortable drawing loli or shota art and choose to age the characters up to imagine how a full grown version would look. I say that's perfectly fine and find age ups to be hotter than drawing a little kid.
There is one thorny detail. Saki has a lucrative Patreon account and lately they've been clamping down on anything underage. They have payment channels that will bow out at any hint of sex with minors, cartoon or not.

That's their right to do so as an artist though. In a lot of countries, loli artwork is illegal to create, especially more realistic skin types and such like Sakimichan does. To bypass this, they clearly age up characters to a more legal appearance. I don't know why people give them hate over that

If a member violates that policy after repeated warnings, their account is closed. Yet it's easy to think the artist is responsible and lay the blame on them.
