edited ones can get parented after conquered all (visible) elements of the originals

Well, I didn't look closely enough at this one to see that it was a composition, but generally speaking, I would have expected the one that had all of the pieces to be the parent with the pieces being children. But if it's a composition, then I suppose that that does change things.
