Yes, but since they have gone out of their way to differentiate for the type II rigging and Muse shipgirls, makes sense to reference the in game name.

That said, someone could take that logic and say that all the retrofit shipgirls should be identified as such...

Well on Danbooru they have individual character tags for specific individual costumes even, but that's maybe a bit too much...
