Newer versions tend to crash when used on a dual core system..
Mine is not dual but it is very slow working through GIMP. I waited an hour and it was only half way done and I gave up. I may try again later or with the command line ver.
Yeah the filter is quite slow, takes about 10min for a 300dpi image on a athlon x2 3800+
Used to use it but since I updated to a Core 2 Duo the app just instantly crash and completely unusable sadly.
Also the only app I've used to this date that doesn't work on my 2 core setup, running it with one core makes it crash at 10% rate but I usually never get an render done anyway.

Any recommendations on how best to use it? I've installed it as a GIMP plugin, and it is a powerful image restoration tool.
Hasn't crashed on my Core 2 Duo machine. Yet.MugiMugi said:

What O/S are you running?
I was doing it on a 600dpi scan. 3200+ amd and 2.5gb of ram. I even shut down all my background programs and anything I didn't need running. But this is my do-it-all computer. I should get one just for image manipulation.admin2 said:
