International units: meter, second, liter, kelvin, etc.
Guess I'll go research.
International System of Units

But it's not likely most will be in everyday use. I mean, do you frequently refer to your travel time in seconds? No, you don't. And I doubt I'll hear someone say it's going to be about 280 Kelvin today.

Granted derived factors are used like hours, but does the hour really make sense? 60 seconds to the minute, 60 minutes to the hour but then seconds can be measured in hundredths... This sounds like it has its roots in the inability of early timepieces to tell time in less than 1/60th or something. Cogs and gearing perhaps. Well whatever, I never really thought about that anyway. Argh it'll be on my mind all day now >.<

You're mostly talking metric system vs imperial system. The metric system is 10 base, the imperial well I didn't grow up with that so it's wtf to me.

*wonders how this relates to the jobs jobs jobs topic and runs off to work when he's already pretty late*
Not that it matters much, as long as it's done on time.
off to sakuracon....

Enjoy o/
Excellent timing for the topic guys. I just got my first job evar.

At Walmart. Official designation: Setup Associate. Translation: Temp worker.

...Well, at least I'm getting paid well.

Seriously, who the hell makes $9.80 an hour right off the bat?
Enjoy your trip admin2.

Maybe you'll be busy very fast Shizashi?

Google to Topeka.
Now instead of telling people to "Google it", it would now be "Topeka it".
Heh heh heh~..........
.........
.........I hate this goddamn month. This month irritates the hell out of me.

is that a rhetorical question? are you being sarcastic? I don't get it?

...awake, bored..etc
Can someone tell me, how do i add an artist, to the fav in Pixiv.
I saw this one called "ringo@ついたー" the drawings are very good, is there a way to add him.
I don't know japanese.
so, whats new people...its my day off....so of course i have nothing to do....
You should have plenty to do with some imagination. Draw a picture, write a story, (or do both and make an erogame ^^), write some music, play some sports, explore a part of the city you've never been to, invent something with random things lying around your house (someone made a 3D scanner with a digital camera, a laser level, and a record player for example (never mind photocopying your ass, you can send your friends a 3D model of your ass in excruciating detail)), learn a new language, etc., etc.
......i envy your enthusiasm, i guess i can do that the rest of today....envy you that is.....
Heh I got two new games to deal with along with the recent three other new games.

Um...

oh... i see... hmmm...well, a lot of people use the imperial or US units on the big stuff... and uses the metric units on the small stuff of the same item... then they're going to give themselves a hard time converting the two to each other... which is kind of... ridiculous... as far as im concerned... i have a hard time at work when checking the actual volume capacity of an item when comparing one to another which uses the different unit of measurement...

I have problems with these different units very often! what's the point of a(n international) metric system if everyone is gonna end up using what they want @~@

Thanks, but Van already told me. (I was to add it to the PIXIV Fav, not imouto)
back from watching a movie, sure i was with friends, but more like people i used to talk to very often, sure you could still say friends but keeping in mind that I 99% will not hear from them again in months doesn't really make me see them as friends, especially since we talked very little, before and after the move...so now i am back here at home, bored like always, and someone wants to talk to me....some one i don't want to talk too..... sry for the rant, just ignore it like always please.

now of to sleep, where even in my dreams i am alone and depressed....

Takes a few generations for stubborn idiots to die or stfu and with them use of silly measurements. Same with new money. I still hear a lot of people convert back to the pre-euro monetary unit, but they are well 40+.

The point.
FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF--

Adjusting your body from day to night shift is HARD.

Fell asleep somewhere between 1 and 3 AM. I don't even know why I was trying so hard to stay awake I've done it before gawd.

Must've been my stopping playing vidja games. But I ragequitt'd Rupee and Barta when Rupee cast Drilnos on 3/4 of the party and my really crappy moonberry drops meant I didn't have Lunar Cleansing yet.
bored...woke up chocking and unable to breath, i don't know how why that happened but meh, if I die, I die right?

I have no idea what you just said. You were probably still sleepy writing that.

Some dreams can be dangerous.

I think dying while you sleep is the sweetest dead (especially if you are dreaming and finish the dream...it gives me the illusion that i will dream further about that world beyond my dreams...). My uncle died while sleeping from a heart attack, it was a little unexpected cause he wasn't that old.

Sounds sweet assuming they don't experience pain in their sleep.

But me, it just can't be a nightmare that actually feels real...ugh:
Nightmare Part 1

Nightmare Part 2

If someone had died in their sleep while having a bad nightmare, that would be terrible.
That being said, having a good dream, I think, would be better since you get to die without feeling pain and enjoying that dream as it were your real life.
It's not the dieing you have to worry about, it's likely the bit before that that'll be bad. Once you're going, going, gone your brain supposedly gives you the trip of a lifetime... literally I suppose.

More like hoping someone would get the Skies of Arcadia reference. I've done the staying-awake bit correctly today, at any rate. Planning to turn in at 1000 hours.

The process is called "living."
@AZD-A9S that sounds really maddening :S. I've read a lot about the "placebo effect" or the power of the mind. story about it
I hope that doesn't happen to you again. I am one of those who believe, some dreams have a meaning (some are just the flush of the day/month/year, others help us work stuff out, some others are just for fun and a few are "astral trips" we take to another reality :P ).

LMAO! i can't stop laughing at that one. Genius!
