Well...it was bound to happen spalose.

it would be, if "change" meant a concrete thing, but it doesn't since you can change in many different ways ("change" can be a mental thing, or physical, or you have another job...it can be too many things). So "not changing" doesn't bring you to a state of "change". (Because "change" comprises infinite "actions". So you can change twice and wouldn't be in the same place as you were at the beginning).

Although you can say "everyone is the same" if everyone changes if you refer to this attribute of "change" in general (but still cannot say that the one who hasn't changed is the only one who changed).
why not?... wouldn't someone who doesn't change be an actual change for all things that change?...

buddhist monks aren't born vegetarian before they became monks you know... so relate this to the case of someone who's unchanging...

displacement by teleportation doesn't necessarily require action from the object being teleported...

when you say action... would you say if it's a verb?... if so... when i say "he is handsome." it is a sentence right? the subject "he" the predicate "handsome" linked with the verb "is"...

so... "is" is a verb that states the act of being... which, in this example, being handsome...

so... a person "being" unchanging (in all aspect, regardless of physical, mental, tangible or intangible) is an action...

kind of like saying... the act of not changing... when we say "now", capturing now is impossible... although... people also say that it is impossible for humans to fly, before the first aircraft was invented...

if we were able to harness the power of blackholes... then the possibility of freezing space and time is not zero... thus achieving the state of "now"...

so... by freezing space and time in an object... makes it unchanging...

azd... it is rude of you to not answer my question...

not answering my question is an action...

so not changing is also an action...

not doing anything, is zero action, but that is not the case in being unchanging... these are two different things...

in other thoughts... when i say, "i'm a liar."

then what does that make me?...

if indeed i am a liar... then my statement is true... if i speak the truth... then how can i be a liar then?...

vice versa if i'm an honest person... if i'm an honest person who said that i'm a liar... then i am indeed a liar...

so what does that statement make me?...

Well I did answered it but I destroyed that post and just replaced it with:
"Forget the whole thing."

You did read that post about that right?
So forget it.
@ natsumenatsu

that's why i said "it would be"...like when you use "change" as the comparison point for the sentence, then a person who "doesn't change" (action) in a world where everyone "changes" (action) would a Change in this system where everyone "changes" (action). The thing is, you kind of have to separate "change" as an action (yes, i meant mainly verb by "action", so "not doing sth" is an action- didn't find a better word) and "Change" as a phenomena - which is ok (not perfect though). But if you speak concretely about everyone changing and one that doesn't - it is only valid if they "change"/or not (verb) on the same way (like the basis for the comparison has to be the same - else it wouldn't make much sense...and since "change" can mean so many things it only makes sense in the abstract sense of the matter).

The thing is, we (humans) cannot freeze space or time...<yet>...and when we manage that, it may seem "unchanging" to us...but space and time are all under the rules of the 4th dimension...and there are at least 10...which means, even if we manage to "freeze" everything in the 4th dimension in an object, it might still be "changing" in other dimensions...(i dunno though).

about the liar stuff: i think it's also a "now" question...cause when you say you are a liar (and are) you are saying the "truth" on that moment (but it doesn't have much impact, cause it could mean you lie every now and then...or very often...the question is what is a liar? when do you consider yourself "a liar" (like defining yourself by the word...you ARE a liar...it's not something you do, it forms a part of who you are - if you say it that way...so it could only be a reference to your nature...and wouldn't necessarily mean that you lie all the time to everyone)? I you usually say the truth and said you are a liar, you would be saying one "lie" (although we come back to the question, how do you define a liar? ...it's like an alcoholic....being an alcoholic doesn't mean you are drunk/drinking all the time...there are even alcoholics who avoid drinking and are most of the time sober, but are still alcoholic...following this course of thought, i'd say:
1st: (i am a liar by a liar) = he is still a liar...he is just admitting it (maybe even trying to "quit").
2nd: ( i am a liar by an honest person) = he is still an honest person who (if you want)" told a lie".
I tried reading the above posts.... @_@

how we all doing?
Doing fine spalose.

You do know that Blooregardo (Bottom of Page 47) pointed you here:
http://twitter.com/
right?

He probably got tired of you saying the word "bored"...or something.
yea...i am ignoring that post anyway

so your doing fine, hhmm i am the usual

i watched a few of the new anime this season, so far I liked just about all of em
Ignored...I see.

So~ New Anime Season?

Done searching

Never seen the series, never plan too..

most of all the other new shows out so far I've seen and intend to continue following
Heh...again / fair enough.

I'll go watch more of Yu-Gi-Oh! DM since I'm getting bored (I tend to sleep when I'm bored). Your spell is getting to work on me...but I won't let it progress any further.
give in...submit to boredom!
HELL NO!

I also want you to free yourself as well.
Don't give up. Try again.
....game over..

continue?

maybe....
What? An hour? Time is going fast for me.
The time stamps can't be wrong.

Anyway spalose...feel like wasting just a few minutes watching this?

super michael jackson bros
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eRciznVO_nk&feature=related
I know it's not the greatest but it provides some laughs considering if you played Super Mario Bros.
it did produce many, I don't care much for Jackson and I don't laugh at most of the joke people make of him, so it got a 'meh' from me
Nevermind the jokes about him. That's not the point of that video. He completed the game in a way Mario and the players could NEVER do.

Anyway leave this thread spalose. Leave until someone interesting comes along with a real good topic. You'll just bore yourself here.

If you have to communicate, try blooregardo's suggestion (which you will ignore) or go to IRC somewhere (which you won't do since you said it already).

EDIT:
Roger that. Hope someone comes along then.

AZD out.
i shall never leave this thread, it means something to me

no azd... i only read the forget the whole thing part.. which is rude...

anyways... i'm just playing with you shio chan...

your statements are correct if you're looking it as a paraconsistent logic point of view...

although the answer i'm looking for the question whether i'm a liar or not... is neither... which is the bivalent point of view...

both views have loopholes in it... and that is why this is a paradoxial question...

kind of like saying... every statement has an exception... then an exception for this statement is that there isn't an exception for statements...

well... one more strike and i'm out...

Good.
(Except the rude part...sorry.)

hahaha oh i love this (thanks for the game i guess?)! <i hadn't done this in a while...and i think it's fun...when people are open <which is very rare> to other points of view and to "dialog" <even if they are not correct/cannot be proved/etc...cause in the end "all is relative" <the easy way out> lol...but hey, we are biased humans that will <probably> never be able to see the whole picture "as is" so changing "glasses" <perspectives> and "upgrading"/"testing" them is fun>.

about the "every statement..." (the way i've heard it is more like "for every rule there is an exception") i would simply (cheaply>.<) solve it by saying "most statements have an exception". But i guess paradoxes are no longer to be dealt with pure logic, but philosophy...(we've found imaginary numbers to fill some holes on mathematics...so we might as well find something to fill these ones as well)

so, is the psychology study already in planning or is it just a future goal for now? (what about philosophy, would you be interested in that too? and why psychology?)
