The light? I'm referring to the outer edges. Anime characters generally only have a little white and the pupil fills in the rest. And usually in anime, the white only fills in the left and right parts of the eye, not the top and bottom too. These eyes look closer to what real eyes are supposed to look like.
Long story short, the pupils here are more circular(not to mention - smaller) and leave more room for whiting around the edges.

Oh~...I thought you meant the inside because that would be any light source that the character sees.
And yeah you are right about the outer edges. A lot of Anime characters are like that...there are certain others that do imitate the real eyes.
