Faults: gap

Even after a book or other item has been unbound for scanning, the different parts or pages don't always line up, in terms of lines or colors, for a variety of reasons.

The parts can be placed in one large image approximately lined up, with white or transparent space in between so that someone else can join the parts. Images needing the parts to be stitched back together should be tagged with "gap" and fixme. Parts of a whole in separate posts should be parent/child instead, and the parent tagged with "fixme" and stitchme.

Even if there is physically no gap between parts in the image, the gap tag should still be used if the sections are obviously misaligned. (Example: post #83953 )
