I believe neko is a pretty Useful tag. If you're looking for cats as an avatar makes it really easy. Or a specific character who always has cats.

Guys, you are focusing too much on tags removal.

Removing tags only makes things harder for people who want to find a specific picture.

And adding tags doesn't hurt anybody.

On Danbooru and E-shuushuu, for an example, there are a lot of nice and useful tags.

In my opinion, being drown by tag's profusion isn't good.

Debbie we want minimum of tags with maximum utility, and our target audience is those who seek and set price on good quality artworks and not "fapping crowd".

I think we could almost get away with artist, circle, manga/game/anime/character name if applicable.

I think I never used any other tags, to search for artworks on imouto.

shushu has special section of artists/copyrights, thus they won't be hurt by a hell of tags.
danbooru has failed in the system.

Depends on what you're looking images for.

Debbie draws. I'd say that when she needs a reference on something, for example, seifukus, she then would search "seifuku urotan". She'd like to see short hairs then she'd search for "short_hair" and so on (we don't have that tag though).

Imouto can't have that much tags as danbooru (just imagine the filenames when downloading), it'd make the site look less formal.

But I think you guys are deleting some tags that won't hurt anyone.

Now that I think about it, this is a "tag deletion proposals" thread, not "save your favorite tags from being deleted".

This is not true. You may not use them, but I, for an example, searched several times for the tags: seifuku, witch, dress, lolita_fashion, gothic_lolita, thighhighs, nekomimi, and some "useless" tags. And I've discovered very good artists among those. I would never have found them if not for those tags.

We could try to make some tag searching device just like E-shuushuu's, it seems ideal to me. You can search only using general tags, or artist or copyright or characters, AND mix those tags to the combination you like.

What a hell of a dumb suggestion. It must be really awful to make such a big change.

Well I did take it to extreme, I don't mean we should get rid of general tags, but I don't think we need tags like: "red hair", "white hair", "green hair", etc. unless tagging system is changed where general tags are not in file name and separated from other tags.

I understand that if you draw many of those tags are useful, but it is just not fitting system we have at the moment, and there is still way around even if it is not perfect, search for character names with short hair for example.

Try to understand, debbie. The main focus of tag removal is to remove outdated tags and tags not in use or little use any more. This is the main point of tag deletion.

It may be useful, but I don't usually think scans with 25 tags are useful.

(although you don't use breasts, nipples, pussy, e.t.c.. what I can't get it is why those tags are considered as "important" tags..
I'm not positive to erase minor tags. they are harmless, not like body parts tags flood on almost every posts)

Blacklists mostly, though I think ratings are more important. I used to blacklist pretty much all of those, but it was taking me too much time to unhide everything because I had to see to check tags, that I recently just changed it to block rating:q. (also it's an easy way for me to check that something is rated correctly)

those are a part of life.

breasts means the chest is uncovered. If the chest is uncovered, you can see nipples.

• 90% of the pics that have the breasts tag also have the nipples tag.
  • 50% of the pics that have the nipples tag also have the breasts tag.

Ever considered merging nipples with breasts? I don't think a lot of people do a breasts -nipples search.
