over 13 years agoAbout Higurashi's first season's art, it really isn't that bad. It's kind of cute, and if you are into violence then it's tons more graphic that Kai (Kai it's a little more psychological). Of course Kai's and Rei's (judging from the intro) art is way better, but the first season is cute in it's own way. Oh, and it has some very iconic scenes you must watch (Rika !!!, Satoko !!!, Nails !!!).

over 13 years agospoilerI still can't believe I watched all of them. Gag episodes aside, the "reborn Rika" arc was terrible, specially the ending. Lotsa weird plot twists... and in the end, the solution for the problem was too stupid. Considering how awesome the official arcs are, this one's weak and definitely not worth watching.
tl;dr -> It's crap. Just watch episodes... 1 and 5? (the gag ones).

over 13 years agoThe Higurashi game and animu soundtracks were all quite good. By the way, I still don't feel like I want to spend time on them...

over 4 years agoSince this cover comes from some cross-over between Higurashi and Umineko, I believe it's actually drawn by Ms. Kikuchi instead of Ms. Sakai. Their styles are similar, but the characters' eyes are typical for Ms. Kikuchi style.

over 4 years agoOr course the pooling could be wrong, but I personally don't think so as all these scans, among with lots of others, came together.
If you have that book on hand you can double-check.
