Just wondering are you using the descreening filter from your scanner?

I would also recommend saving it in PNG, better quality. Well... only for my sake, most people don't care for the quality that I would since I use some of these images for extractions and I hate having to spend more time that regular to fix others mistakes. ^^

Yes descreening is on max and it saves as jpeg. These are not fixed or anything just raw scans

And this is probably the best my scanner will output. It seems it's dependant on the type of paper the image is on. Darker areas tend to look worse than lighter. I've been messing with my scanners settings and still can't get the moire(?) pattern to minimize. I can see if my scanner will output a png file. I post on MT while I'm posting here. So having my scanner output a jpeg file is easier for me.

I don't mind it in jpeg, but can you upload one with descreening off? I want to see how much I can clean it up.
