Well, in this case, this a character from a game which Tony Taka did the character designs for (and probably most of the artwork), so it makes sense for her to be drawn in Tony Taka's style. Still, while this artist does a decent job, they're no match for Tony.

That's like saying there's no point in attempting to draw anything unless you don't already suck.
People learn how to do basically anything by mimicking others and then gradually forming their own style.
